Yvonne H. (Metcalf) Cedres

Yvonne H. (Metcalf) Cedres passed away peacefully July 17, 2019 after an extended illness. She was born on June 10, 1927 in Merrimac to the late Earl and Maude (Allen) Metcalf.

She was employed for many years at Chase-Shawmut until her retirement in 1988 to help with her grandchildren. She loved to garden and sit outside as often as she could to read her books, she also loved her dogs and cats. Yvonne was a longtime member of the Belleville Church in Newburyport.

Yvonne is survived by her 3 children; Wayne Cedres and his wife Karen of Byfield, Dawn Kulik and her husband Ed of Amesbury, and Gale Cedres of Newburyport, 2 granddaughters; Tiffany Doherty and her husband James, and Krystal Silva and her husband Anthony, twin 5 year old great granddaughters; Zoe and Madison Doherty, sister; Ruth Bessey, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Napoleon Cedres, twin brother Everett, sister Elizabeth, as well as her brothers, Edgar, Gerald, Paul, and Clayton.

Family and friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday July 21, 2019 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Her Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday July 22, 2019 at the Funeral Home followed by burial at Belleville Cemetery in Newburyport. THERE IS NO LONGER ANY PARKING AVAILABLE BEHIND THE FUNERAL HOME PER ORDER OF THE CITY OF NEWBURYPORT.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Yvonne’s name to the Belleville Church 300 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950.
