William P. Ford, Jr. of Salisbury, Massachusetts passed away at Portsmouth Regional Hospital surrounded by his family on August 5, 2025.
William was born on October 21, 1954 in Medford, MA. William worked many jobs over his life including Newburyport/Plum Island Bridge Operator and Maintenance Manager at the Stevens Memorial Library in North Andover. He was a hard-working individual his entire life and had to take an early retirement due to health issues. He loved his family, baseball, and John Wayne. He taught his two children the importance of the Boston Red Sox and the fact that there was no situation the Duke couldn’t handle. He was a model for hard work and dedication and he will surely be missed by all that knew him.
William is survived by his wife, Marilyn Ford, his son William Ford IV and his wife Rebecca Ford, his youngest son Jonathan Ford, and his beloved grandson William Ford V.
The family asks for all to keep William in your hearts and remember all the wonderful times you had together. However you knew him, William, Big Bill, Dad, or Grampy, this would be his wish for all of us.
At the request of the family, there will be a private mass and celebration of life. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950 is assisting Mr. Ford’s family with his arrangements.
