William K. Boyle

William K. Boyle passed away on August 4, 2024. A dedicated family man, husband and businessman, he was known to all who knew him and loved him as Bill. He was born in Newburyport on July 19, 1945 to William A. and Edna (Cox) Boyle.  He attended Newburyport schools, graduating from NHS with the class of 1963.  Growing up, Bill and his family spent happy summers at the family cottage on Parker River where he enjoyed boating and water skiing from an early age.  The love of being on the water in a boat carried on throughout his life, his marriage and was passed on to his sons.  Bill and Sharon Gouldthorpe were married on August 2, 1969, enjoying 55 years together.  Together they raised their two sons, Tim and Chris, shared a love of Golden Retrievers throughout their marriage and enjoyed boating and traveling together.   In 1985 they opened trucking company, TC Leasing Corp., providing local hauling services and joined by the boys as they grew older.  Sadly, Timothy, who ran the company after his dad retired, unexpectedly passed away in March of 2023, a devastating  heartbreak to family and for all who knew him.

Bill leaves behind his wife, Sharon, son Christopher Boyle and wife Marie of Hampton Falls, and his brother, Edward Boyle of Newbury.  The light of his life in the last six years has been his beautiful granddaughter, who he enjoyed so many happy times with.  He also leaves behind the extensive Gouldthorpe side of the family of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and beloved nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home, 193 High Street, Newburyport,  MA. Burial will be private at a later date.

Family requests no flowers.  Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
