Wesley E. Crowley, Sr.

Wesley E. Crowley, Sr. passed away early Saturday morning, December 3, 2022 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH. He was born on September 25, 1931 in Chelsea, MA to the late Henry and Emmanuella (Rickonscente) Crowley. He was raised and educated in Chelsea and was a graduate of Chelsea High School. Following his graduation Wesley enlisted in the US Navy and served our country proudly during the Korean War. 

Upon his return from service Wesley married his former wife Shirley Jean Johnson and the couple settled in Saugus to raise their family. He was employed by the United States Postal Service his entire working career, retiring as a Sorter. Later in life Wesley married Evelyn Bemis and resided in Derry, NH.

In addition to his wife, Wesley is survived by his children, Robert Crowley, Shirley Cieszka of Derry, and Wesley Crowley, Jr. of Saugus; grandchildren, Corey, Andrew, Emily, and Robert Crowley, Brenda Galente, and Tara and Jenna Cieszka; great granddaughter, Thea Crowley; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by all of his siblings.

Family and friends are invited to Wesley’s graveside service with military honors at 10:00 AM on Friday December 23, 2022 in the Veterans Section of Highland Cemetery in Newburyport. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950 is assisting Mr. Crowley’s family with his arrangements.
