Timothy Boyle Obituary

Timothy Kirk Boyle departed this life on the 13th of March, passing peacefully from natural causes. Loved ones and friends will remember him the same way he reportedly arrived in this world: big, blue-eyed, and happy. Tim was born on the 16th of November in 1973 to the delight of his parents, William and Sharon (Gouldthorpe) Boyle of Newburyport. He was the family’s first-born grandchild and showered with love.

Tim’s childhood was spent in the north end where he and his younger brother Christopher forged the friendships that carried them into adulthood. Loving brothers and best friends, the two made a memorable pair. As little boys, dawning their orange life jackets, they’d zoom the family dinghy around Steephill Beach in Ipswich, not far from where the family dropped anchor most summer weekends. Together they developed a passion for boating, inspired by their father.

A graduate of Newburyport High School, Tim knew that his life's work would be in the family trucking business - TC Leasing. From the first time he went to work with his father at 5 years old, he wanted his own tractor-trailer.  He spent hours at the garage beginning at a young age - soaking up all the knowledge he could.  As soon as he was eligible, he earned his CDL.  For more than three decades he worked hard to ensure the family business was a success, ultimately managing operations following his father’s retirement. He was a well-known member of the New England trucking community; a proud, repeat winner of the Coastal Truck & Auto Body Annual Truck Nationals for Best Truck/Trailer Combo (still running his trophy-worthy 1999 Peterbilt every day!); and an innovator whose custom designs caught the eye of Ohio-based MAC Trailer and landed him a showcase at the New England Truck Show.

Away from work, Tim was known for giving the greatest hugs, especially by those lucky enough to receive them. He was at peace on the water and in the sun. Whether visiting Sandy Point, searching for the sandbar in Essex, or simply wading alongside his Mako at low tide – cold Miller Lite in hand – Tim could always be found swapping stories and poking fun amongst his favorite people.

Finally, and only with maturity, came true love. On the deck of his riverside home in Amesbury, Tim was happiest birding and dreaming alongside his soulmate Nicole (King) Demeritt.

Tim is survived by his parents of Newburyport; his brother, sister-in-law, and much adored niece of Hampton Falls; and his girlfriend of North Hampton whose loving family he willingly inherited when the two decided to share their lives. Countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends will miss Tim dearly.
