Theresa (Levasseur) Duhamel

MERRIMAC, MA – Theresa (Levasseur) Duhamel, 99, passed away peacefully at Port Healthcare of Newburyport on May 2, 2024.  She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Duhamel.  She was born on September 25, 1924, in Lawrence, the daughter of Tobie and Elzire Levasseur.  After living many years in Lawrence and Methuen, she spent her retirement years in Salisbury and Merrimac, MA.

She retired from the IRS in Andover, MA.  After retirement, she volunteered her time at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport and also at the Merrimac Council on Aging.  She enjoyed line dancing at both the Salisbury COA & the Merrimac COA. 

She is survived by her daughters, Alana Cecile May of Glendale, AZ, Pauline Duhamel and her husband Larry Wolfe of Merrimac; her grandson, Michael Blais and his wife Kathy; her great grandchildren, Allison Stone and her husband Zack, Jennifer Blais, Nicole DelSignore and her husband Thomas, and Drew Verrier; her great-great grandchildren Duke and Lily Stone.

ARRANGEMENTS:  Theresa’s Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Church of the Nativity, 4 Green St, Merrimac, MA.  At the request of the family, there are no calling hours, and burial will be private at a later date. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home, 193 High St, Newburyport, MA is assisting Mrs. Duhamel’s family with her arrangements.
