Susan (Twombly) Priest

SEABROOK, NEW HAMPSHIRE – Susan Martin Twombly Priest passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 19, 2022 with her family by her side at her daughter’s home in Seabrook, New Hampshire at the age of 73.

Loving mother of Lisa Priest Riley and her loving husband, Joseph, and Lori Priest Curtsinger and her loving husband, James; cherished Grammy of Kayla Ellison, Cody Barrett, Savannah Curtsinger, and Joshua Riley; great grandmother (GiGi) of Emma Rose McKenna; sister of Jayne Twombly Ingalls and her husband, Gregory Ingalls; sister-in-law of Michele Twombly; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.  She was predeceased by her brother, Martin (Peter) Francis Twombly, Jr.

Susan was born on April 15, 1948 in Newburyport, MA to the late Martin (Buddy) Francis Twombly, Sr. and Mary Hersey Twombly.  She attended Catholic schools in Newburyport and was a graduate of Newburyport High School.  She worked 15 years for General Electric and, after raising her children, she worked several years at the Yum-Yum Shop in Seabrook followed by 15 years at Walmart after which she retired.  She enjoyed knitting, family holidays, spending time with her grandchildren and her great granddaughter.  She was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 4-8 PM on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home, 193 High Street, Newburyport, MA. 01950.  THERE IS NO LONGER ANY PARKING AVAILABLE BEHIND THE FUNERAL HOME PER ORDER OF THE CITY OF NEWBURYPORT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Church, 42 Green St, Newburyport, MA.  Burial will take place privately at a later date.
