Stephen F. Kane

Steve passed away in the early hours of December 13, 2024 after a long illness.  He was born in 1971 in Newburyport to Barbara (Kellet) and the late Frank Kane.

Steve was a long-time employee of Shaw's Supermarket, serving as a Produce Manager for many stores throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire.  As an avid sports fan Steve was always either talking New England sports with friends or watching all Red Sox, Bruins, and Celtic games, but especially his beloved Patriots. He'll always be remembered for wearing his well-worn Patriots hat.  Always being the life of the party, he always had great times with his friends either at sporting events, concerts, the backyard barbecues, or singing karaoke.

Steve is survived by his mother Barbara Kane of Newburyport, his sister Nancy Lazdowski and her husband Dawson of Newburyport, his brother Tom and his wife Maria of Sunrise, Florida, and his twin sister Julie from Lynn, his daughter Caitlyn from Amesbury, his sons Tyler and Brendan, both from Byfield. He also leaves behind his long-time partner Sheila Mills of Beverly.  He was predeceased by his father Frank who passed away in 2019. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with many cousins. He will be dearly missed by all.

His family would like to thank the staffs at Anna Jacques and Beverly Hospitals along with the Lahey Clinic in Burlington for their care for Steve.

Friends and family can call on Thursday December 19, 2024 from 10am-12pm at Twomey, LeBlanc & Conte Funeral Home 193 High Street, Newburyport with Stephen’s Graveside Service at 12:30 to follow at Belleville Cemetery in Newburyport.
