Sarah J. Nabhan, 68, a resident of Salisbury, MA passed away at Tufts Medical Center in Boston with her family by her side on Monday morning September 5, 2022. She was born in Kferzabid, Lebanon on September 24, 1954 to the late Joseph and Najiba (Abou Faysal) Nabhan, and immigrated to the United States in 1974.
Nothing gave Sarah more pleasure in life than spending time with her family, including her grandchildren and the friends of her children to whom she was known as a “second mom.” Most of all, she enjoyed hosting, cooking, and laughing while sharing the Lebanese culture through food and stories. Sarah spent her summers in Salisbury Beach, MA working at her family’s business the Carefree Arcade, and was also a teacher at the elementary school level in Andover, MA.
Sarah is survived by her husband, Amin Nabhan of Salisbury; sons, Charles Nabhan and his wife Rita of MD, and Christopher Nabhan and his fiancé Meghan Bertini of MA; grandsons, Benjamin, Samuel, and Andrew Nabhan; 1 brother and 8 sisters residing in Lebanon and Brazil; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Sunday September 11, 2022 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. THERE IS NO LONGER ANY PARKING AVAILABLE BEHIND THE FUNERAL HOME PER ORDER OF THE CITY OF NEWBURYPORT. Her Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday September 12, 2022 at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church 5 Paleologos Street, Peabody, MA 01960, burial will follow at Oakhill Cemetery in Newburyport.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Sarah’s name to Sjogren’s Foundation, which supports patients living with the autoimmune disease and their families.
