Sandra Siemasko Obituary

Sandra (Maynard) Siemasko passed peacefully in her Byfield home on November 2, 2017 at the age of 76.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 55 years, Richie; her son, Rick and his wife, Julie of Newbury, MA; her son, Tom and his wife, Marnie of Newburyport, MA; her son, Jeff and his wife, Angela of Rowley, MA.   Grandchildren; Carley, Andrew, Erika and Annie.  Sister, Cindy and her husband, Henry Birkemose of Essex, MA; her brother, Joe Maynard and his wife, Martha-Ann of Elgin, SC; her sister, Peg Maynard of Danvers, MA: and sister, Deb and her husband, Richard Feldman of Lincoln, NH, along with a large extended family.

Sandra was born on February 23, 1941 in Haverhill, MA to Joseph and Lillian Maynard of Georgetown, MA.  She graduated from Perley High School in Georgetown, MA in 1959 where she was the captain of the cheerleading squad for all four years she attended.  She began working for Kinson Bus of Georgetown as a school bus driver and spent the majority of her career driving for Salter Transportation for over five decades.   Her ability to connect with and care for the busloads of children who had the privilege of riding her bus was extraordinary.

Sandra was an accomplished knitter and took great joy in making intricate sweaters, hats and scarves for family and friends.  She was an active and dedicated member of the Immaculate Conception Church, where Sandra and Richie often volunteered for church events.   Sandra was in the first group of Eucharistic Ministers under pastor, Father John Leonard.
