Rozalia (Javor) Benca

We are sad to announce that Rozalia Benca, long-time resident of James Steam Mill, Newburyport, died on April 8, 2022 at the age of 86 from pancreatic cancer.  She was a devout Catholic.  Despite many years of unrelenting pain from a spinal stenosis, she attended Mass every single day until very shortly before her death. She is survived by her son, Adolf Benca and daughter Lubica “Lubka” Benca and Lubka's spouse, Naomi Diamant, as well as her extended family in Slovakia.  

Family and friends may call on Wednesday April 20, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00PM at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. THERE IS NO LONGER ANY PARKING AVAILABLE BEHIND THE FUNERAL HOME PER ORDER OF THE CITY OF NEWBURYPORT. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Thursday April 21, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be private at a later date.
