Roy W. Teeter

Roy W. Teeter, 77, of Newbury, MA passed away Sunday June 16, 2024, at Lahey Hospital in Burlington with his family at his side. He was born June 14, 1947, in Berwyn, Illinois, the son of the late Harold and Vivian (Van Deren) Teeter, and resided in Beverly, MA for more than 60 years. He was a 1965 graduate of Beverly High School and served in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1968 aboard the USS Voge DE-1047. He subsequently attended Northeastern University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration summa cum laude in 1974. He was employed by Gillette and Computervision in various accounting and finance positions before joining the Gem Group, Inc. as Controller in 1989, a position that he held for 29 years until his retirement in 2018.

He is survived by Catherine (Pierce), his beloved wife of 55 years and their three children, Matthew P. Teeter of Beverly, MA; Kristen V. Anderson, her husband Seth and their two sons Noah and Elias of Newbury, MA; and Michael R. Teeter of Newbury, MA. He is also survived by a brother, Thomas Teeter of Beverly, MA and a sister, Nancy Kirkland, her husband Richard of Fairfield, CA and their son David, his wife Alexis and their two daughters, McKinley and Munroe of Novato, CA.

Services and burial will be private at a later date. The Twomey, Leblanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950 is assisting Mr. Teeter’s family with his funeral  arrangements.
