Robert C. Ducott, 90, died Saturday morning August 1, 2020 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was born in Everett on October 5, 1929 to the late George R. and Lena B. (Bandoni) Ducott. Robert graduated from High School before enlisting in the U.S. Marines and served our country proudly during WWII.
Upon his return from service Robert married the love of his life, the late Estelle Hinxman. He started his working career at the Cushman Bakery, Prudential Life Insurance Co., an Auxiliary Police officer for the Town of Saugus and later on in life he enjoyed working for his son at his son’s Variety Store on Plum Island. Robert was currently employed at Kohls in Seabrook, NH.
He was a member and a past Commander of the Seabrook American Legion and a proud member of The 40 & 8. Robert was also a Justice of the Peace and performed many marriages, including his own son, Robert’s.
Robert is survived by his children, Robert C. Ducott, Jr. and his wife Laura of Plum Island, Donna Entwistle an her husband Bruce of Saugus, Christine MacLennan and her husband Eric of Nova Scotia, Patti Chang and her husband Jorge of Saugus and David Ducott and his wife Darlene of Westfield; grandchildren, Melissa, Robert, Tina, Danielle, Shannon, Michael, Bryan, Mike and April; great grandchildren, Kyle, Dillon Nathan, Domenic, and Grace, his longtime partner Judith Kennedy; as well as several nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his 3 brothers.
Family and friends are invited to his calling hours on Thursday August 6, 2020 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. THERE IS NO LONGER ANY PARKING AVAILABLE BEHIND THE FUNERAL HOME PER ORDER OF THE CITY OF NEWBURYPORT. His graveside service will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Seabrook.
