Robert James Burrier a selfless soft-spoken man who was born June 29, 1947 died unexpectedly on October 26, 2023 with his wife Joyce Burrier by his side. Robert a devoted husband, father and Grandfather  will be sorely missed. He came from humble beginnings born in Zanesville Ohio who at age 18 became a decorated Marine who served in the Vietnam war. Robert “Bob” Burrier was a patriot who had a fierce sense of National pride and was always proud of being a veteran. When he returned home from war he met his beloved wife, a Dorchester girl he married February 20, 1971, his everything for 52 years. He was a doting husband with loyalty and love in spades. Bob and Joyce raised three successful children, one daughter and two sons. His family was his greatest achievement, and he was passionately supportive of them. Bob had a compassionate heart always assisting others. He would work tirelessly in any job he had to provide for the family, eventually retiring from the post office.

Robert was a talented musician, songwriter, performer and accomplished singer, featured on radio stations locally and in Aruba. He loved family, animals, his country and duck tape. He especially loved watching his grandchildren play in any sport or performance. He gifted his family with a beautiful lakeside cottage in Maine where himself, wife, children, and Grandchildren have spent summers creating wonderful memories.
