Richard "Dick" Murray

Richard D. Murray, “Dick” 82 of Salisbury MA, passed away on Saturday, January 25,  2025, with his loving wife by his side.

Born on April 25, 1942 in Newburyport, Richard was the son of the late George and Alice Murray, pre-deceased by his 2 brothers Robert and Sheldon. He was the beloved husband of Pamela Murray, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.

Richard was the proud father of his 3 children, Beth Murray, David Murray & Chrys Beaupre his loving son-in-law Dennis, and the loving grandfather of his 5 grandchildren, Joshua & wife Libbie, Keegan Leary, Kelsi Leary and longtime boyfriend Trevor Eaton, Drew and Brooke Beaupre along with  2 great grandchildren Emerson and Maeve and Maya his furry friend.

He is also survived by his nephew Kevin and Beverley Murray of Texas. He will be remembered by his in-laws Judith Marshall and David Beaton, as well as his many friends.

Richard was a very proud member of DeMolay, Dragmasters, Cam Snappers, The Elks, the American Legion. and has a love for all things Disney, he enjoyed making  dollhouses for his granddaughters and had a love for making all things crafty.

Richard graduated from Newburyport High School in 1960 where later on in his life went on to obtain his PhD in environmental engineering.

Family and friends may call from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday February 3, 2025 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Richard’s Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home following the calling hours at 2:00 with burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
