Richard A. Heywood, Jr.

Richard “Rich” Allen Heywood, Jr., of Seabrook, NH passed away unexpectedly Monday, September 2, 2024 at the age of 64. Born in Newburyport, MA on June 4, 1960, the son of Rose Marie (neé Fowler) and the late Richard Allen Heywood, Sr., he grew up in Newburyport, and later Salisbury, MA. After attending school, he entered the family business of carpentry, working for many years alongside his father and other family members.

In addition to his dear mother, Rose, he is survived by his wife of 37 years, Heather; his son Chad and daughter-in-law Luciana; his son Benjamin and partner Sarah; his two grandsons, whom he adored, Cooper and Parker; his siblings, Cindy Lind, Candy O’Brien and brother-in-law Michael, Linda Robichaud, Randy Heywood, Rhonda Frascone and brother-in-law Rick; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Rich was a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend; he was outgoing, friendly, and always eager to laugh and happy to engage in conversation. His departure fills his family and friends with a sorrow that will not soon pass. He will be sorely and deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him. 

Family and friends are invited to Rich’s Funeral Service at 3:00 PM on Sunday September 15, 2024 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950, followed by a Reception at the American Legion Post #70 169 Walton Road, Seabrook, NH 03874. Burial will be private at a later date.
