Patrick Paul Barbier

Dr. Patrick Paul Barbier, 79, passed away October 4, 2023 at the age of 79. He was born on November 3, 1943 in Lavelamet, France to the late Yves Rene and George (Streisguth) Barbier.

He was a longtime resident of Newburyport and held his Private Practice in the area for decades.

Patrick leaves behind his wife Kyle Asmussen; children, Anthony Barbier and his wife Kristen, Stephanie Almeida and her husband Matthew; step-children, Stewart Prue and his wife Diana, and Courtney Dennis and her husband Mike; siblings, Christian Barbier, and Lise Genet; many grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many wonderful friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Shirley Carcasonne.

If ever comes a day we cannot be together keep me in your heart. I’ll Stay there forever.

In accordance to Patrick’s wishes his arrangements will be private. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950 is assisting Dr. Barbier’s family with his arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Trust, checks may be made in honor of Patrick; or the Newburyport Senior Center.
