Patricia Anne (Harrington) Kelleher

Patricia Anne Kelleher passed away on Thursday April 27, 2023 at her residence, Nichols Village in Groveland. She was born on January 31,1944 to the late John and Eunice (Pihl) Harrington in Lynn, MA. Pat was raised in Saugus, and was a graduate of Saugus High School, Class of 1961. She continued her education, graduating from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. She then married her former, late husband, James Kelleher and the couple raised their two sons Brian and Tim in Melrose.  Pat was the Director of Physical Therapy for the Department of Developmental Services Northeast Region and for Hogan Regional Center in Danvers for decades until her retirement and lived in Newburyport for over 25 years.

Pat was happiest with "my people" as she would often lovingly say - her grandchildren, Matt, Sami, John & Brian who affectionately called her “Mimi”, her "boys" Brian & Tim, and all of her family, and her wonderful friends. Pat adored her four grandchildren - spending many years cheering them on at their sporting events- whether it was a chilly hockey rink, a rainy soccer field or a 2+ hour baseball game, she was there. Pat also had a lifelong passion for traveling with her family and friends.  Summertime in Hampton NH, the porch at the Mt.Washington Hotel, and countless cruises & trips with those closest to her. Pat loved gardening, cooking, and absolutely cherished her 6-year-old rescue dog Pebbles - who already misses her so much.

Pat is survived by her sons, Brian Kelleher and his wife Shari of Newburyport, and Tim Kelleher and his wife Jeanne of West Newbury; grandchildren, Matt, Sami, John, and Brian Kelleher; sister, Susan Mercurio and her husband Joe of Bradford; her niece Danielle O’Heir and her husband Liam, and their children, Evan, Carly, and Tyler O’Heir, as well as many close wonderful friends. Pat was predeceased by her nephew Darren Mercurio.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday May 2, 2023 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Her Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home on Wednesday May 3, 2023, followed by burial at Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.
