Trisha passed away at age 77 on Sep 22, 2024, just short of her 78th birthday. In her final moments, she was with her daughter, Shannon and her grandson, Ryan. She also left behind her son, Michael, her granddaughter, Amber and her son-in-law, Rob.
If you knew Trisha, you knew that she was a feisty woman who would never back down from an argument. At the same time, she could be funny, fun and generous to a fault. She would literally give the coat off her back to a stranger, even if they didn’t ask for it.
Trisha moved to Newburyport from Western Ma about 25 years ago with her husband Bob, who passed away within their first years here. She enjoyed taking walks to town and having lunch at Angie’s whenever possible. She took a fall a couple of years ago at which time her health and spirit began to decline. She often said she just wanted to “go and be with Jesus”, so hopefully they are having fun watching YouTube programs and playing Candy Crush together in Heaven.
The one thing that gave Trisha joy these past few years was being a grandmother to Ryan and Amber. She was incredibly proud of their many accomplishments, and the drive they each possess to pursue their goals and dreams. Whenever they got together, Trisha would light up and try to be silly and goof around with them. They had lots of inside jokes and even nicknames for each other. They called her "Grandma Johnson”, which always made everyone laugh.
Trisha will be missed by those who loved her, and never forgotten by anyone who had the opportunity to know her.
Per her request, her family will celebrate her life with a private memorial this fall.
