Nelson H. Buswell

It is with deep sadness that we mourn the sudden passing of Nelson H. Buswell, 67, of Myrtle Beach, SC formerly of Salisbury, MA. Nelson was born in Fitchburg, MA and was a graduate of Amesbury High School. He married the love of his life in 1980 and raised their family in Salisbury. Nelson and Diane together built their home and a commercial building in Salisbury, they also built their business Canvas Connection together working side-by-side for their 42 years of marriage.

Nelson had a brilliant engineering mind and there was nothing he enjoyed more than a good challenge, whether he was working on boats, cars, or airplanes. He took particular pride in building his own airplane and he loved flying. Nelson and Diane spent several winters in Florida where they shared a beautiful home on a private runway and regularly entertained family and friends. Their adventures together included almost two years traveling the US in their RV, finally settling in Myrtle Beach 

Nelson is survived by his wife Diane their daughter Stacey and her husband Rob, their son Travis and his wife April, grandsons Dominick, Maddox, Colin, and Colby; his sister Annis and her husband Bob Dwan; as well as several close cousins. 

Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on April 23, 2022 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. His Memorial Service will follow the calling hours in the Funeral Home. A Celebration of his life will then be held at the North End Boat Club in Newburyport. Burial will be private at a later date. THERE IS NO LONGER ANY PARKING AVAILABLE BEHIND THE FUNERAL HOME PER ORDER OF THE CITY OF NEWBURYPORT.
