Nancy Ann Wile (Sullivan), 91, of Newburyport, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Neil N. Wile, who predeceased her in 2011.
Born and raised in Newburyport, Nancy graduated from Newburyport High School in 1952. While she valued hard work and dedication, the center of Nancy’s life was always her family.
Nancy is survived by her loving children, John and Rachael Wile, Lisa and Steve David, Robert and Lisa Wile and Christopher and Laurie Wile. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Rachael and Ian Dobbs, Jamie and Jess Wile, Matthew and Tricia Wile, Patrick and Colleen Wile, Jeffrey Wile and Megan Buckley, Connor and Jenna Wile, Casey David and Lydia Pinette, Travis Wile, Ben, Sam and Max McKenzie. Nancy was the proud great-grandmother of Charlotte and Harrison Dobbs, Lillian, Adalyn and Cameron Wile, Everett Wile, Sadie Wile and Harrison & Kaylee McKenzie.
In addition, Nancy leaves behind her sisters, Jane and Jack Toland, and Eleanor and Fred Hanson as well as nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Nancy was predeceased by her sister, Patricia Szymura.
Nancy was happiest when she was surrounded by her family. Her home was often filled with laughter, especially during her beloved Sunday dinners, where children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren gathered together week after week. That time together created memories that her family will carry with them forever.
Nancy and Neil also treasured their annual trips to Aruba, often bringing grandchildren along to share in the fun and sunshine. Nancy loved the beach and especially cherished time spent with her sisters at Hampton Beach.
Nancy will be remembered for her warmth, devotion to family, and the traditions she created that brought generations together. She leaves behind a legacy of love, closeness, and countless treasured memories.
