Nancy E. (Bowness) Henrikson

Nancy Elizabeth (Bowness) Henrikson, 84, died Wednesday morning January 24, 2018 at the Atria Merrimack Place in Newburyport. She was born in Worcester, MA on July 8, 1933 to the late Raymond Clinton and Agnes Teresa (Lackstrom) Bowness. She attended Worcester schools and was a graduate of Worcester North High School Class of 1951.

Shortly after her graduation Nancy met her future husband Carl G. Henrikson through the Scandinavian Athletic Club. The couple settled in Canton, MA where they raised their family, before moving to North Falmouth in 1980. Nancy was the Owner/Operator of the Gift Shop located in the Sea Crest Beach Hotel in North Falmouth for many years. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. 

Nancy is survived by her children Kari Henrikson and her husband Thomas Gustafson of Newbury, and Peter Henrikson and his fiancée Natalie de La Giraudiere of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren, Gunnar and Mia Gustafson, and Jocilyn and Keegan Henrikson; sister-in-law, Ruth Aiello of Weymouth; and nephews, Robert and Richard Aiello. Nancy was predeceased by her husband Carl in 2005.

Family and friends are invited to her Funeral Service at 10:30 AM on Wednesday January 31, 2018 at Christ Lutheran Church 485 Brick Kiln Road Falmouth, MA followed by burial at 12:30 PM at Bourne National Cemetery. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950 is assisting Mrs. Henrikson’s family with her funeral arrangements.
