Nancy Ann (Meade) Twomey

Our beloved Mother & Nana, Nancy A. Twomey passed away at her home on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

Nancy was born August 11, 1940 to the late Everett “Mink” and Rosemary “Dolly” Meade. Nancy was predeceased by her husband Daniel J. Twomey.

Nancy graduated from Newburyport High School, and worked many years until retirement from Newburyport City Hall Treasurers Department. Nancy was an avid book reader who loved flowers and spending time with her family.

Nancy was the heart of her family. She leaves behind her daughter, Maureen Twomey-Roux and her husband Moe Roux; son, Daniel Twomey and his wife Sheila; she also leaves her treasured grandchildren, James (Jennifer), Patrick (Olivia), Pamela (Adam), Colleen and Michael. As well as her three great grandchildren; Brady, Madeline and Valerie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Frederick Meade.

Family and friends are invited to Nancy’s Funeral Service at 10:30 AM on Friday September 13, 2024 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950, with burial to follow at St, Mary’s Cemetery.
