Mila Jeremias Perkins age 76 departed this life peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at home surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

Mila was born September 29, 1943 in the Philippines, the daughter of the late Federico and Agnes Jeremias.

 

Mila graduated from High School and completed Nursing school . She held various different positions over the years.

In her free time she enjoyed reading, Mila always had at hand a great novel , National Geographic or decorating magazine.In recent years ,she became the family's Official Movie Critic and could be counted on to recommend a great movie or two .

Mila loved trying out adventurous new meals and enjoyed teaching her daughters the fine arts of  traditional Filipino cooking.

Her  love of travel,  took her to many countries from Scotland , France,  to US travels  in Las Vegas  and Canada.

A collector of antiques, she passed on this appreciation to all  her children.

Gardening , however is where Mila found her solace. As recent as last month, she spent an afternoon with her grandson planting roses in her garden.

Mila’s greatest achievement and joy came from being a homemaker and Mother to her family.

 

Mila was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years George H. Perkins.

Mark and wife Sandy Perkins of Sanford, North Carolina

Kevin Perkins of Ledyard, Connecticut

Rene’ and husband Michael Williams of Winterville, North Carolina

Candy and husband Bob Butland of Seabrook, New Hampshire

Misty and Peter Ikier of Exeter, New Hampshire
