Michelle King

Michelle King, 52, a resident of Amesbury, passed away at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport Thursday evening February 8, 2024. She was born in Lynwood, CA on May 13, 1971 to Paul and Kathleen (Ballard) King. She was raised and educated in California in her early years, later relocating to Newburyport, where she was a graduate of Newburyport High School Class of 1989. She met her partner Jeffrey Benevento, formally of Lynn, and the couple had their daughter Nicole Benevento in Beverly, MA, they then moved to Florida for 6 years where Jarrod Benevento was born, eventually settling in the Amesbury area to continue to raise their family.

Michelle was currently employed by Rochester Electric for the past 16 years as an Administrator in Shipping and Trade Compliance. 

She was an enormous fan of music especially that of Dolly Parton. Her music and movies were never to be missed. In 2022 she fulfilled her lifelong dream of visiting Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. She was also a lover of animals of all kinds, having four rescue dogs,  and two rescue cats.

In addition to her parents; Michelle is survived by her partner of over 30 years, Jeffrey Benevento formally of Lynn who currently resides with their two children, Nicole and Jarrod Benevento of Amesbury; aunt, Lorraine Ballard of Louisiana; as well as several cousins.

Family and friend may call from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Wednesday February 14, 2024 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Services and burial will be private.
