Michael James Richardson, Jr. died Saturday February 13, 2021 in Lebanon, ME. He was born in Haverhill, MA on August 29, 1980 to Jody (Ferguson) Richardson and the late Michael J. Richardson, Sr.  Michael graduated from Newburyport High School Class of 1999. Where he played football on the 1998 Championship team, was a 3 time MVP of the track team recording many four first place finishes, he specialized in the high hurdles, long jump, and 100 meter dash. He also played played on the varsity basketball team as a junior. Following high school Michael attended Hesser College.

He then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in September of 2004. After basic training in Lackland, TX he trained at Sheppards Air Force Base. Mike went through the ranks from aircraft maintenance apprentice, to journeyman, craftsman, senior maintenance controller, to noncommissioned officer as a technical sergeant in Unit Development Management. From 2005 to 2014 he was stationed at Travis Air Force Base in CA where he met his wife Courtney Dimon. In 2008 he was deployed to Afghanistan and in January of 2017 and was stationed at Incirlik Air Force base in Turkey. He was stationed at Pease Air Force base in 2018 and currently stationed at Hanscom Air Force Base. He was a recipient of the Air Force Commendation Medal in 2020.

Nothing gave Mike more joy than spending time with his wife and children, without question his family was his greatest treasure. Mike will be dearly missed.

In addition to his mother, Michael is survived by his children, Arianna and Michael III; siblings, Brian Richardson, Amber Thistle and her husband Adam, and James Richardson and his wife Natasha; aunts and uncles, Tracy Corvi her husband Francisco, Erin Connors and her husband Thom, Jack Ferguson and his wife Lynn, Alan Richardson, Karen Bower and her late husband Mark, Linda Bower and her husband Arthur; grandmother, Dorothy Richardson. Michael was predeceased by his wife Courtney (Allen) Richardson; his father Michael J. Richardson, Sr; and grandparents, Earl Richardson, and Jack and Marilyn Ferguson.

Services and burial will be private. Family and friends are invited to Michael’s calling hours from  9:00 to 11:00 AM on Saturday February 20, 2021 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. THERE IS NO LONGER ANY PARKING AVAILABLE BEHIND THE FUNERAL HOME PER ORDER OF THE CITY OF NEWBURYPORT.
