Maureen Adams, 79, died Tuesday morning April 7, 2020 at Country Center for Health and Rehabilitation. She was born on June 21, 1940 in Newburyport to the late George and Catherine (Sullivan) Chaisson. Maureen graduated from Immaculate Conception grammar and high school before furthering her education, graduating from Cardinal Cushing College in Brookline, MA.
She was employed for over 39 years as a second grade teacher for Salisbury Public Schools until her retirement. Maureen enjoyed spending time at their beach house in Seabrook and traveling to Cape Cod with her husband Eddie. She also enjoyed tending to her flower garden.
Maureen is survived by her husband Edwin “Eddie” Adams of Hampton Falls; sisters, Norma Chaisson of Newburyport, and Donna Schwager of Milton, NH; brother in law, Richard Adams and his wife June of Seabrook; several nieces and nephews; as well as her precious cat “Foxy”.
Due to the current state of health affairs there will be a private graveside service for Maureen’s family. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950 is assisting her family with her funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Maureen’s name to the MSPCA 400 Broadway Methuen, MA 01844.
