Maura G. (Coyne) Tinkham

Maura (Coyne) Tinkham, 77, passed away at her residence in Salisbury on Thursday July 28, 2022. She was born in Woburn, MA on February 19, 1945 to the late Walter D. and Mary M. (McCarron) Coyne.

Maura was raised in Tewksbury, MA. She met Jerry on Plum Island and in 1960 they were married. The couple settled in Newburyport where they raised their family. Primarily a homemaker, Maura was most happy spending time with her family, enjoying fun times in her pool with her grandchildren along with many hours gardening with their help. Maura also enjoyed having many pets at all times. She was employed as a Physical Therapist Assistant for several years in the Newburyport area.

Maura is survived by her children, Gerald A. Tinkham, Jr., and his wife Ann Marie of Salisbury, Kathleen Cutter and her husband John, of Newburyport, and Michael Tinkham and his wife Wendy of Newburyport; grandchildren, John Cutter Jr, and his wife Amy, Katherine Bradley and her husband Benjamin, Ryan Cutter and his fiancé Nicole Laspasio, Megan Attaya and her husband Matthew, Kristin Paddellaro and her husband Robert, Shannon Tinkham, Camden Tinkham, Lucas Tinkham, and Brooklyn Tinkham; great granddaughter Lucy Elizabeth Cutter; sister Kathleen Walton and her husband Frank; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Maura was predeceased by her brothers, Walter, Donald, Vincent, and Paul Coyne.

Services and burial will be private at a later date. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950 is assisting Mrs. Tinkham’s family with her funeral arrangements.
