Marybeth L. Bourbeau, 61, died Saturday afternoon May 1, 2021 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. She was born in Salem, MA on October 31, 1959 to the late Maurice and Arline (Griffin) Lawlor. Marybeth was raised on Plum Island, Newburyport and was a graduate of Whittier Technical High School focusing on Culinary Arts.
Following her graduation Marybeth was employed as a waitress and bartender at several local restaurants over the years, including the Hungry Traveler and Taffy’s. In 2008 she married her husband Wayne Bourbeau and the couple enjoyed 13 years together as well as working side by side in the family business as a heavy equipment operator. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with family and friends at their camp on Province Lake in Wakefield, NH.
Marybeth is survived by her husband Wayne F. Bourbeau of Salisbury; step children, Robert Bourbeau and his wife Chelsea of AZ, Ashley Bourbeau of CA, and Wayne T. Bourbeau of WV; siblings, Brian, Lawlor, Patrick Lawlor, Mark Lawlor, Maureen Lawlor, Arline Lawlor, Deanne Lawlor and Donna Lawlor; as well as several nieces and nephews. Marybeth was predeceased by her daughter Tiffany Poulin in April of 2014.
Private services and burial were held at Longhill Cemetery in Salisbury. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950 is assisting Mrs. Bourbeau’s family with her funeral arrangements.
