Mary A. (Lenane) Duggan

The family of Mary Duggan, 95, sadly announces her passing on October 1, 2020 in Newburyport. Mary was born in Newburyport on May 24, 1925, the daughter of Edward and Anastasia (Wiseman) Lenane. She grew up and was educated in Newburyport, graduating from lmmaculate Conception grammar school and Newburyport High School class of 1943. Mary had many interests including traveling and spending time with family and friends. She was a tong time member and Past Regent of the Daughters of lsabella and Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. Mary retired from the Newburyport School Department as secretary to former Superintendent Francis Bresnahan. She is survived by daughters Diane Morrison and Kathy Cleary and husband Daniel, grandson Reade Morrison and wife Kerri, grand daughter Moira (Cleary) and husband Aaron Quinlan, great grandchildren, Quinn, lsley, Ross, and Nolan Morrison and Kieran Quinlan. She is also survived by her sister Ann Lapierre and nieces Joanne Cordon (Luis), Lynn Sullivan (Michael), Terri Lapierre, and Amy Anwyl (Rod) and several great nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband Clement M. Duggan, grandson Corey M. Morrison and sister Helen E. Knox.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday October 7, 2020 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. THERE IS NO LONGER ANY PARKING AVAILABLE BEHIND THE FUNERAL HOME PER ORDER OF THE CITY OF NEWBURYPORT. Her Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church and burial at St. Mary Cemetery will be private.
