Mary Madelene (Poulin) Borin, 82, of Topsfield, MA, passed away peacefully at her home on November 6, 2025. Born in 1943 to parents George and Agatha (Jennings) Poulin, Mary was the eldest of five children, including brothers Phil, Mark, Chris, and Joe.

Born and raised in Newburyport, Mary lived most of her life there before moving to West Newbury in 2009 and then to Topsfield in 2014. She attended St. Louis de Gonzague's French School and the Immaculate Conception High School, graduating in 1960.

Mary married John “Jack” Borin in 1965, and they were blessed with two children, whom they raised in Newburyport. She is survived by her daughter, Celeste Winter; son, Jonathan Borin; grandchildren, Edyn and Bryce Winter; brother, Mark Poulin and his wife, Denise; two sisters-in-law, Rachel Poulin and Rosemary Healey; brother-in-law, Tom Borin; several nieces and nephews; and two special long-time friends, Kathryn Coffin and Mary Erlandson.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; her parents, George and Agatha; her brothers, Phil, Chris, and Joe; and her dear friend and travel companion, John Cashman.

Mary worked as a Dental Assistant for many years, a Medical Secretary at Seacoast Orthopedics, and a Medical Secretary and Scheduling Coordinator at Anna Jaques Hospital. She also worked at the Salem Community Life Center in Salem, MA; served tirelessly for many years as a warden for local elections; and was a long-time volunteer for the San Francisco AIDS Ride Foundation.

Mary loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren, Edyn and Bryce. She also loved traveling, attending the theatre, and going to concerts. Kenny Rogers was her favorite recording artist, and Mary was able to see him perform dozens of times "Through the Years.”
