Marisa Louise Standley

Marisa Lousie Standley, 27 of Springvale, Maine left our world on Sunday May 9, 2021 as a result of a motorcycle accident near Shapleigh, Maine. Born on October 8, 1993, Marisa was the daughter of Bradford Standley of Harpswell, Maine and Pamela Jean Standley-Jamison of Newbury, Massachusetts.

A graduate of Telstar High School in Bethel, Maine, Marisa spent most of her childhood years in Newburyport, Massachusetts and attended Newburyport High School until her senior year. She then attended the University of Souther Maine, Portand. She was devoted to her son Lucas, who was truly the center of her world.  An expert snowboarder, Marisa earned a PSIA/AASI snowboarding teaching certification and became Sunday River’s youngest professional instructor at age 16. More recently, Marisa had been employed by Creative Workforce Solutions as an HR Associate.  Loved by all who knew her, Marisa was a kind and gentle soul who always managed to find the good in everyone.  Her presence and energy lit up any room the moment she entered.  Her limitless love knew no bounds.  This world was made better by her presence and will be forever changed by her untimely passing.

Marisa is survived by her son Lucas Bradford, 4, of Springvale, Maine; her parents; her brother Douglas Standley of Beverly, Massachusetts; her stepfather Mike Jamison of Newbury, Massachusetts and his children Chris Jamison of Hampton, New Hampshire and Todd Jamison of Scarborough, Maine; her stepmother Stacy Standley of Harpswell Maine; her grandmother Mary Brocaglia of Madison, New Jersey, her Aunt Susan Brocaglia of Florham Park, New Jersey; her Uncle Tom Brocaglia of Madison, New Jersey; her Uncle Rick Brocaglia of Morristown, New Jersey: her Uncle Ronald Standley of Ashford, Connecticut and numerous cousins and friends.

Marisa’s Memorial Service will be private. The family and guests will be outside after the Service inside the Church, to gather for a Celebration of Marisa’s Life. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950 is assisting Marisa Standley’s family with her arrangements.
