Marilyn Reardon passed away peacefully December 24, 2022 with her daughter and son by her side. Born in Newburyport to the late Arlene (Merrill) Dow and Ralph Merrill. Marilyn was raised and educated in Newburyport, graduating from Newburyport High School, Class of 1959.
She was married to the late Edward L. Reardon, they raised their four children Linda, Dawn, Jill and Anthony while owning Reardon’s Market and then the Coffee Shop on Merrimac Street. Marilyn owned and operated Arlene’s Dress Shop in Salisbury, MA. with her sister Raylene Proctor for over twenty years, closing the dress shop in 2002. Marilyn was very active in the Yankee Homecoming Fashion shows and volunteering for many fundraising events. She traveled throughout the Mediterranean and Caribbean, especially enjoying her long time friends in Aruba.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Jill (Reardon) Frangipane and husband Butch of Newbury; her son, Anthony Reardon of Seabrook N.H; her sisters, Gail Holloran of North Andover, Raylene Proctor and husband David of Seabrook, NH; grandchildren, Natasha, Marilyn, Cara, Aimee, Katie, Ricky, Stephen, Chanel, Chad, Ryan, and Caden;
great grandchildren, Luca, Nate, Henry, Jackson and Brody. She was preceded by her daughter’s, Linda (Reardon) Chase, Dawn (Reardon) McCance; her brothers, Ralph Merrill, Wayne Merrill; and loving friend William Griffin.
Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday December 31, 2022 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Her Graveside Service will follow at Belleville Cemetery in Newburyport.
