Margaret "Peggy" Lysik

Margaret “Peggy” Lysik passed on April 28, 2025, at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, MA.

Peggy was born in Newburyport, MA on January 7, 1948. The daughter of Elizabeth (Hamilton) Lysik and John Lysik of Newburyport.

Peggy was employed with Newburyport Public Schools where she worked as a cafeteria server and enjoyed working as a crossing guard.

She leaves behind her sister Elizabeth “Betsy” Lysik, sister-in-law Nancy Lysik, nephews James Lysik Jr, Shawn Lysik, and Jason Dow, three great nieces and great nephew. She was predeceased by her brothers James Lysik and Richard Lysik.

Peggy loved animals and spending time with friends and family. Peggy will be dearly missed.

Services will be private. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950 is assisting Ms. Lysik’s family with her arrangements.
