Louise L. (Venne) Whitmore

Louise L. Whitmore, a resident of Newburyport, passed away early Thursday morning December 15, 2022 at Country Center for Health and Rehabilitation. She was born in Manchester, NH on May 24, 1927 to the late Edward and Yvonne (Masse) Venne and attended Manchester Catholic. Following her education Louise worked briefly as a salesperson in the auto parts industry before becoming a stay at home mom, after her marriage to William W. Whitmore and the couple settled in Newburyport. As her children grew Louise went back to work, she was a maid in the Newburyport area for a time, before concluding her working career as an assembler for Bushwell Manufacturing until her retirement.

She was a devout catholic, and in her spare time enjoyed crossword puzzles and sewing.

Louise is survived by her husband William Walter Whitmore of Newburyport; children, Walter Whitmore of Newburyport, Warren Whitmore and his wife Diana of E. Kingston, NH, and Linda Chapman and her husband David of Starks, ME; grandchildren, Jennifer Zamboni, and Josiah Chapman; great granddaughters, Autumn, and Haddassah Zamboni; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends are invited to attend Louise’s Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM on Tuesday December 20, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow Mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950 is assisting Mrs. Whitmore’s family with her arrangements.
