Kristine Ann Schmidt - Newburyport
On Thursday, September 23, 2021 Kristine Ann Schmidt, loving wife and mother, passed away at age 54 after her long, hard, five year battle to cancer.
Kristine was born on March 6, 1967 in Newburyport, MA to Diane (McCarthy) Andersen of Merrimac, MA and William Beaubien of Plum Island. She was a 1985 graduate of Newburyport High School.
On October 2, 1999, she married John Schmidt, and she inevitably spent the best 22 years of their lives together laughing, loving, and making memories cherishing every moment they had.
Krissy worked at MetLife as an administrator for 17 years, and the Bresnahan Elementary school as a lunch and recess monitor for the past 7 years.
She was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband John, their two children, Madison and Parker, her beloved dog Teddy, her step-father Edward Andersen, her siblings David, Donald, and Donna, mother-in-law Maureen, sister-in-law Shelly, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and best friends; Michelle Adams and Sue Dow also survive her.
Krissy was preceded in death by her son, Jack Schmidt.
Her family would like to thank Dana Faber Cancer Institute, High Point House, Anna Jacques Hospital Emergency Room Department, Newburyport Police Department, Newburyport Fire Department and everyone involved with “Krissy’s Krew”.
