Kelly Tinkham Obituary

Kelly Ann (Griffin) Tinkham, 63, beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and cherished friend, passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of her home in Salisbury, Massachusetts on August 4, 2025.

Born on December 28th, 1961, Kelly was the daughter of the late James R. (Bob) Griffin and Mary G. Griffin (Roberts) of Tuftonboro, NH. Raised in Danvers, MA along with her 3 older siblings, Kelly was known for her generous spirit, her love of family, and her keen culinary skills.

She built a beautiful life with her own family, eventually settling in Newton, NH, where she was a devoted mother to her two children, Larissa Marie Tinkham of Aynor, SC and Chad Michael Tinkham of Londonderry, NH. Known lovingly as “Nana Bubbles,” she was a proud grandmother to Jacob Brian Mahoney of Aynor, SC and Ricardo (Ricky) Silva of Salem, MA. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the delicious aromas of her cooking.

Kelly dedicated her lifelong career to the hospitality industry, where she found joy in serving others and bringing people together. Her work in the industry was marked by passion, professionalism, and a personal touch that made every guest feel special. In 2003, she relocated to Madeira Beach, FL, followed by Treasure Island, FL, where she established a catering company, Gulf View Catering. She later opened a restaurant in St. Pete Beach, FL, Burgers in Paradise. Whether orchestrating elegant events or welcoming patrons with a smile, Kelly’s legacy in the restaurant and catering world is one of excellence and heart.

Kelly eventually made her way back to New England, and for the last decade of her life, she settled by her favorite place, the beach, in Salisbury, MA, where she spent her days happily listening to the ocean waves close by.

She will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her quick wit, and her ability to make everyone feel at home. Her love for her family, her community, and her craft leaves an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Kelly is survived by her aforementioned children, grandchildren, mother, brother Mark S. Griffin of Salem, MA, sister Laureen M. Griffin of Merrimack, NH, sister Nadine J. Griffin of Tuftonboro, NH, many nieces and nephews, as well as her dear and loving friends.

A private memorial will be held at a later date, attended by close family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the following charities in Kelly’s memory: Salisbury Beach Partnership, Inc and Breast Cancer Research Foundation causes close to her heart that reflect her lifelong commitment to helping others.
