Karen M. (Drown) Hoskins

Karen Hoskins, 66 of Newburyport passed away peacefully on August 26, 2022.

She was born in Newburyport on December 31, 1955, to the late Melmer and Mary (Carey) Drown.

Karen grew up in Newburyport, attending IC Schools and Newburyport High School, graduating in 1974.  She continued School and became a Home Health Aid / VNA, for over 20 years, until retirement in 2022.

Karen married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Hoskins and shared 22 years of happiness and love. Karen enjoyed family and friends the most. She adored her great nieces and nephew. 

She loved spending time on her deck.  She loved Yankee Home Coming, Disney and traveling.

Karen is survived by her husband Bob Hoskins of Newburyport. Her sister-in-law Kathy Drown of Kennebunk ME, nieces & nephew: Veronica (Mike) Curley of Rochester NY, Vanessa (Bob) Furu of Santa Fe New Mexico, Corrine (Brad) Crowther of Wells Me, Timothy Drown and companion Amanda of Arundel Me, great nieces and nephew Caitlin, Molly and Owen Curley, Lilly Drown of North Carolina, Marlow and Macy Furu, Etta and Sadie Crowther

In addition to her parents Karen was predeceased by brother Donald.

Family and friends may call from 2:00 to 6:00 PM on Sunday September 4, 2022 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Her Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday September 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM. THERE IS NO LONGER ANY PARKING AVAILABLE BEHIND THE FUNERAL HOME PER ORDER OF THE CITY OF NEWBURYPORT. Burial will be private at a later date.
