Joshua "Josh" Hersey

Joshua Hersey, 45, of Salisbury MA passed peacefully in his sleep at home on Sunday February 9, 2025. Josh was born in Haverhill MA on August 23, 1979, to parents Brenda and Michael Hersey, also of Salisbury MA.

Josh was a proud business owner of Hersey Construction which he started shortly after graduating high school at the young age of 20. The only thing he was prouder of than his work were his two sons Josh Hersey, 17, and Jase Hersey, 14, (Mother Michelle Glavin) also of Salisbury MA. 

Josh was well known by so many as tough, athletic, ambitious and hardworking but even more so as a respectful, loyal, caring man with a genuine heart, always a friend to the underdog and whom many would best describe as someone who would "give the shirt off his back".

Some of Josh's passions included MMA, where he had a successful career as a fighter for the GFL, as well as raising and caring for his beloved pit bulls.

When he wasn't at work, Josh never missed the chance to be at his sons' games, his boys were the pride of his life. After work and his sons, Josh spent the remainder of his time helping and caring for his parents and sister.

Beyond his children and parents, Josh also leaves behind two sisters he was very close with, Charis Hersey, and Shacina Hersey, as well as two nephews he loved like his own Austin Perreault, 32, and Isaac Schrempf, 21.

Josh touched so many lives during his short time here, beyond his own comprehension. To know Josh was simply to love him. He will be immensely missed and deeply loved by so many.
