Joseph Robert Nelson

Joseph Nelson, a resident of Newburyport, passed away suddenly in Newburyport at 18 years old. He was born in Methuen, MA to Janet (Rapoza) and Steven Nelson on August 19, 2004. He was raised and attended school in Newburyport. 

Joseph enjoyed taking long walks, music, gaming, and spending time with his friends and family. He had a special love for creativity and self-expression. Keenly interested in the world around him, he was always searching for new life experiences.

Joseph is survived by his parents Janet Nelson of Newburyport, and Steven Nelson of Tullahoma, TN; his siblings Daniel Nelson, Philip Rapoza-Rosario, and Elizabeth Rapoza-Rosario; maternal grandmother, Nancy Ulbin; paternal grandfather, Robert Nelson; aunts and uncles, Joseph and Rebecca Rapoza, Amy Rapoza-Brady, Ted and Jenny Nelson, and Amy Bratty; cousins, Scott Brady, Jr, Matthew Brady, Kate Nelson, Carl-Robert Nelson, and Brian Bratty, as well as many dear friends.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday January 12, 2023 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Friday January 13, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Church. Friends are asked to go directly to church. His burial will be private at a later date.
