John Michael Piecuch, 77, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, passed away on May 2, 2026, surrounded his loving wife and family after a courageous battle with ALS.
John was born on October 11, 1948, in Newburyport, Massachusetts, to his parents, Libby and Michael Piecuch. He graduated Newburyport High School and was the oldest of four brothers, Tom, Bob and Dave. From a young age, John showed an incredible work ethic. He managed one of the largest newspaper routes for the Newburyport Daily News, setting an example that his brothers proudly followed in his footsteps.
John served his country with honor as a Sargent in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, where he was awarded numerous medals for his service. His sense of duty and perseverance carried through every aspect of his life.
He dedicated over 30 years of his career as a merchandiser with Coca-Cola before retiring. Never one to sit still, John later worked at Home Depot, where he especially enjoyed operating a forklift and took pride in helping others complete their home projects.
On October 1, 2011, John married Nancy, the love of his life. Together for over 30 years they shared many adventures, favorite being long weekends on the beaches of New England, and most importantly, treasured time spent with family.
John was a devoted and hardworking man who was always busy, whether tending to his yard, tackling projects, or cheering on the New England Patriots as a devoted fan. Above all, he was a deeply devoted family man who took immense pride in his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; his children, Josh and his wife Sherinah and Justine and her husband Jason; his stepchildren, Caitlin and her husband Dan and Mary and her husband Tim; and his seven cherished grandchildren, Elsa, Stella, Shay, Evelyn, Ella, Hanne, and Liam.
John will be remembered for his strength, his unwavering work ethic, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in all who knew and loved him.
