John Donovan Obituary

John Lawrence Donovan, 68, of Plum Island passed away on January 4, 2021 at his home. John was born in Boston, MA on Dec. 25, 1952 to the late John and Mary (Sheehan) Donovan. He graduated from Cathedral High School and North Eastern University. John was an avid skier and loved his family and was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Newburyport.  

He is survived by his wife Agnes H. (Hogan) Donovan of Plum Island, a sister, Mary Louise Donovan of Halifax, Nova Scotia, a sister-in-law Patricia Donovan of Quincy, MA, brother-in-law James Hogan of Lynnfield, Sister-In-Law Eileen Hogan of Rockland, MA as well as nieces and nephews; Sean Donovan and wife Tania of Hawaii, Sean Minor and wife Michelle of Boise, ID, and Christopher Minor and wife Kimberly of Lynnfield, MA. John is also survived by great nieces and nephew; Victoria Minor, Connor Minor and Paula Donovan as well as lifelong friends, Bruce Conley, Frank Leahy, Rick Graham and Lea Cormier. John was predeceased by his brother Paul Donovan. 

Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM at the Twomey, LeBlanc, and Conte Funeral Home, 193 High Street, Newburyport, MA 01950.
