John Aaron LaPierre

With deepest sorrow, we announce that John Aaron LaPierre, age 46, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday May 7, 2022. 

John was born on April 14, 1976 in Newburyport, Ma to his loving parents, John LaPierre and Mary Giles. He was raised in the South End of Newburyport, where he made memories on every street and every corner with his neighborhood friends. 

Those who knew John were touched by his free-spirited nature, his bright smile, his kind heart, warm energy, and his wild sense of humor. 

John Aaron’s favorite days were spent in Freedom, NH on Ossipee Lake at the Shawtown Campground. Especially the days spent on the boat, fishing with his beloved Grandfather. He loved the water and being in nature, and he gravitated towards sports like jet skiing, riding snow mobiles, four wheelers, dirt bikes, and anything that went “BRAP”.  First and foremost, John had impeccable taste in music, and was a talented drummer. He has been known to break many sticks and symbols with a giant smile on his face. 

Loving father to Ryan Murphy of Worcester, MA. Cherished son of John Alan and Robin LaPierre of Newburyport, MA, and John and Mary Giles of Manchester, NH. 

Beloved brother to Kristin Piracini, and Jamie Karopoulos. Step brother to Brian Crowley, and Jamie Crowley. Beloved nephew to Alan and Andrea Bronzetti. Much loved cousin. Adored Uncle to Mariah Crowley, Jaden LeBlanc, Tyler Karopoulos, Mia Karopoulos, Lukas Piracini, and Kaia Piracini. 

John was predeceased by his most special Grandparents, John and Frances LaPierre of Newburyport, as well as his Uncle Gerald  LaPierre, and his Aunt Paula Doyle. 

Throughout John’s struggle with addiction, he found comfort and solace within the AA Community. He formed many friendships, as well as selflessly helped many others in their journey through recovery.  

He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday May 11, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. His Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday May 12, 2022 at 10 am. Burial will be private at a later date. THERE IS NO LONGER ANY PARKING AVAILABLE BEHIND THE FUNERAL HOME PER ORDER OF THE CITY OF NEWBURYPORT.
