Its with a heavy heart, we as a family announce the passing of Joanne Louise Fish, on Friday evening May 16, 2025 on the birthday of her 1st Grandson, peacefully with her family by her side, at Brigham Manor where she had resided for the last 9 years.
Joanne was the beloved wife of John they just shared there 60th Wedding Anniversary on April 4, 2025
Joanne, loved her husband more than life, John's dedication for her during her 9 years in Long Term Care was a true testimony of his love for her.
Joanne was a true "homemaker" she was happiest when she was at home, caring for everyone, cooking, cleaning, baking, knitting, sewing, quilting & hanging laundry out in the back yard. you could eat off her kitchen floor, she also loved having her children's friends over, she was fondly know for "Blueberry Muffins" & baked goods everyone would ask for over and over.
Joanne loved playing Bingo & the lottery, she was a avid NASCAR fan, with Joey Logano & Kyle Bush being her favorite, she was buried with her M&M NASCAR hat, she also enjoyed watching Family Feud , Deal or No Deal, Golf, Bull-Riding, & her beloved Tom Brady & The Patriots
Joanne, was kind warmhearted, loving, & nurturing, she was not a person of fancy things or travel, but she always encouraged her children, to follow there dreams. Joanne had a special love for her niece Cynthia Wilson-Reichert and her brother Mark, who was born the same day as her daughter Jodi.
Joanne leaves behind 2 children and there spouses, her daughter Jodi and her husband Robert & her son John & his wife Kim. Her 3 grandchildren were her pride and joy, she cherished every moment with them, and was so proud of all there handwork and accomplishments, she loved being "Nana" to her 1st Grandson David, 2nd Grandson Cameron & his fiancé Mikayla and she was thrilled the 3rd Grandchild was the girl she always wanted, Granddaughter Jennie & her fiancé Cameron. She also, leaves behind 3 Great-Grand Children, Alicia, Avery & Benjamin who she talked about till the end, she loved to see all the pictures & videos of them, and if she got a in-person visit or a phone call, she was thrilled. Joanne was 1 of 4 children, she leaves behind her sister, Sandra Wilson of Ipswich & Agawam, Linda & her husband Steven of California & her brother Russ Hussey of Merrimac, Ma. She also leaves behind, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Joanne was predeceased by her parents, who she loved and cared for deeply, Russell & Priscilla (Short) Hussey. She was predeceased by her Goddaughter who she cherished, Karen Crooks.
We as a family would like to extend the biggest Thank You to Marion Walsh-Frost one of her nurses at Brigham, who was with her from beginning to end, at Brigham, who became family and was able to spend time her the day before she passed.
Graveside services & burial were held on Wednesday May 21, 2025.
