Janice M. (Pulpi) Hudson

Janice M. Hudson, 80 of Boxford, Massachusetts passed peacefully on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, Massachusetts surrounded by her loving family and husband Marshall.

Janice was born in Boston where she spent her early years on Beacon Hill with her parents and sister Josephine.  Janice was always surrounded by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.  It is this love of family she instilled in those who were blessed to be in her life.

Janice met her soul mate Marshall in 1959 and they married in 1965.  They spent their early years living on Cape Cod, Boston, New Hampshire and finally settled in Boxford in 1974 where they raised their family and still maintain their family home.

Those who knew her called her Jan and those who loved her called her Mom or Gram.  She had a love for animals, vacations, the beach and ocean, her family, Christmas, and Prosecco. 

Janice is survived by her husband of 58 years Marshall Hudson of Boxford, her daughter Kim (Hudson) Ryan and her husband John Ryan of Jupiter, Florida.  Her son Chris Hudson of Boxford.  Granddaughters, Megan Ryan, Brinn Ryan, Callie Ryan, and Kaitrin Ryan of Jupiter, Florida, and her “son” Joseph Leies of Laguna Niguel, California.  Her sister Josephine Ladner and her husband Mark Ladner of Yarmouthport, Massachusetts and her nephews Jeff, Michael, Scott and Greg Ladner and their families.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday May 15, 2023 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Janice’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Tuesday May 16, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Church, followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
