Janet A. (Dickey) Packer

Newburyport, MA – Janet Ann (Dickey) Packer age 90, Died March 22, 2025.

Born in Newburyport MA, June 7, 1934. Janet grew up at the Dickey Farm on High Road in Newbury, later settled into her own home on the farm property with husband John Walter Packer. They were married for 65 years before his passing in 2018.

Devoted Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, she leaves behind three sisters, Diane Silva, Doris Hettler, and Michele Arsenault. One brother, Carleton Dicky and his wife Ann, two sons and their wives, Doug and Gail Packer, Dana and Dorene Packer, Four grandchildren, Michael Packer, Desiree Edwards and husband Kevin, Talon Packer and wife Meaghan, John Luke Packer and wife Carli. Janet had six Great Grandchildren, Ryen, Finnley, Gennes Packer, Harley and Paxton Edwards, and Finn Eloise Packer. She was a woman whose heart was stitched together with love for quilting and crafting, each piece of fabric telling a story of creativity and care.

There will be no calling hours, a private graveside ceremony and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
