James Carew Obituary

James Thomas Carew, passed away Wednesday September 11, 2019. He was born in Mineola, New York on May 1, 2011 to Steven and Amanda (Riordan) Carew. James was raised in Newbury and attended Newbury Elementary School.

James had the biggest smile and heart. He touched everyone with his bright light and hugs and was loved by everyone he met. He enjoyed reading, skiing, biking, swimming at the OCC & the beach as well as spending time on the family boat. He was his older brother’s biggest fan and loved watching and cheering him on at all of his sporting events. Above all James loved spending time with his family and friends.

James is survived by his parents Steven and Amanda Carew of Newbury, brother Jack Carew, maternal grandparents, James and Alice Riordan, paternal grandmother, Mary Ann Carew, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was pre deceased by his paternal grandfather James Carew.

Family and friends may call from 1:00 to 5:00 PM on Sunday September 15, 2019 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High ST. Newburyport, MA 01950. THERE IS NO LONGER ANY PARKING AVAILABLE BEHIND THE FUNERAL HOME PER ORDER OF THE CITY OF NEWBURYPORT. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday September 16, 2019 at Immaculate Conception Church. Friends are asked to go directly to Church. Burial will follow Mass at Oakhill Cemetery in Newburyport.
