Jack D. Campbell

Newburyport – Jack D. Campbell, 73, of Newburyport passed away peacefully, on August 7, 2022, at his home. He was born in Newburyport MA on June 2, 1949, the son of the late Robert D. Campbell and Barbara (Blackadar) Campbell.
Jack was raised in Newburyport and graduated from high school with the Class of 1967.  Jack was a Farmer by trade and spent many years on the salt marshes haying and farming the land.  You would often hear his friends and family call him “Hay Jack”!
He was a resident of both Byfield and Newburyport for the past 70 years. Jack loved the outdoors, his motorcycle, and spending time with his friends.  Member of the local Newburyport Neptune’s, Elks, and Boat Club. He was an avid fan of all the New England sports teams. Jack enjoyed St. Martin with his life partner Marilyn, trips to Laconia with his friends, and Martha’s Vineyard. Jack was a kind man with a great sense of humor and was often telling jokes and making all laugh and just smile.
He is survived by Marilyn Manning his life partner with who he shared 18 years of happiness and love. 
Predeceased by his nephew Robbie Austin.  He leaves behind his sister Judy (Campbell) MacDonald and her husband Red Macdonald, his sister Patty (Campbell) Shepard, and her husband Tom Shepard.  In addition, he is survived by his niece Jennifer (MacDonald) Mariana, and his nephew Eddie MacDonald.  As well as many, many friends and loved ones.

The Celebration of life will take place on August 27, 2022 at the Neptune’s, 40 Hancock St., Newburyport, Mass, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM all are welcome to stop by and remember Jack.
