Irene A. (Massari) Geisler

Irene Agnes Geisler (Massari), a longtime resident of Newburyport, passed away the morning of June 28, 2024, at the age of 94. She passed peacefully, with her loving son by her side, after a courageous 8-month battle with Lewy-Body Dementia.

Irene was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Viola (Hofmann) Massari, her brother Richard Massari, and sister Rosemarie Paradise. She is survived by her sister, June Fournier, her son Charlie,  daughter-in-law Jamie, granddaughters Paris and Sophie, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Irene was a friendly, kind, funny, and a generous person who loved her family and friends dearly. The feeling was mutual – she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She lived a simple but fulfilling life, and her positive impact will continue to be felt by those she touched.

A memorial mass will be held in her honor on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Immaculate Conception Church located at 42 Green St., Newburyport, MA. with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Newburyport. All are welcome. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950 is assisting Mrs. Geisler’s family with her arrangements.

Irene supported the American Cancer Society and American Heart Association.
