Hunter Copeland Obituary

Hunter Lee Copeland, 31, passed away Saturday May 6, 2023.

Hunter was born on January 18, 1992, in Newburyport, Massachusetts and was a lifelong resident of his hometown, Salisbury. He graduated from Triton Regional High School in 2010, and most recently, graduated from Local 12 Plumbing Apprenticeship Program, with some of his closest friends and loving wife by his side. He was so proud to be a member of Local 12, and spent his entire career with J.C. Higgins.

Hunter had an incredible love for the outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, golfing, metal detecting, walks on the beach or through fields and trails. He was his happiest when he was outside doing what he loved, with the people he loved most.

Hunter could always be seen with a smile on his face, contagious laugh, and surrounded by his family and friends, whom he loved so deeply. His wife and children were his entire world.

Hunter is survived by the love of his life, his wife Sommer Spillane-Copeland and his two children, Charlotte Jill and Pierce Lee Copeland. His children were his everything; he was the proudest dad in the whole world. He also leaves behind his man’s best friend, Holly Jolly. In addition, he is survived by his incredible mother and father, Jill Copeland, and Joseph Copeland and his wife Rachel Copeland; his loving sister Jordan Copeland and fiancé Brandon; loving brother Dylan Copeland; Grandparents Barbara and Edwin Hunt and Marga Coulp and he was predeceased by his grandfather, James Copeland; Aunt Allison Hunt and Uncle Edwin Hunt, cousins Peyton and Dmitri Hunt, and his closest buddy and best pal Justin Joslin; along with many other countless special family and friends; including aunts, uncles, cousins, and life long friends. Everyone whom Hunter met, became someone special in his life.
